  • St Edmunds (Ipswich) - Using Delicious - to tag/identify websites for students. Benefits available anywhere - free

  • Tax Office - experimenting with collaborative opportunities. Use wiki - wikimedia. Training clients to upload information to wiki
  • Sue - use Delicious for bibliographies.
  • Google notebook - use as a password manager
  • Maroochy - blogs- staff create content (Why you love your library!) Contributions have been slow. Staff blogs - for storytellers. Works well as internal communication. Comments were moderated. All comments went live.Comments were moderated in two days.
  • University experience with comments - moderated and maintained by staff. One experience of a comment that required moderation.
  • Try http://www.connotea.org as favourite/bookmark service. Endnote /various database links can be saved.
  • http://www.citeulike.org like another favourite/bookmark service.
  • Ipswich - maintains a staff wiki - collaboration/sharing Local history wiki - enabled sharing experience, linked with silver surfer training.
  • SLQ using addthis -link from SLQcatalogue. to enable book records to be saved.
  • QUT Creative Industries Librarian using personal delicious login as desktop home page; http://del.icio.us/thompsoee Also created delicious site for Creative Industries clients, populating with internet resources from existing html-based subject guides and imported tag cloud into subject guides page: http://www.library.qut.edu.au/subjectpath/internetresourcesforci.jsp as well as embedding link to delicious site into Blackboard site for a Creative Industres Core Unit. http://del.icio.us/QUT_Creative_Industries_Library Also using Delicious to link with professional colleagues to share client-focused resources, and professional-focused resources. Collaborating with National Art School Library, Sydney Design Centre library, Charles Darwin Uni arts librarian, QLD College of Art library, as part of the Art Libraries Society of Aust/NZ activity.   • Discussion regarding Facebook sites limited to professional information only?
  • Dalby - used MySpace to connect with youth for consultation . (Dably launchpad) Library uses Facebook/IM Use consistent avatar through multiple sites
  • Discussion regarding testing new products. Need to be quick to pick things up and drop them when they are no longer suitable. Management challenge!
  • Determine the suitable performance measure -be a 'fringe dweller'
  • Blocking sites - issue. YouTube/Facebook/MySpace.. bandwidth issues and content issues..
  • Professional issues - providing access to infomation.
